International Wheel of Colour

Colour therapy is a recognised complementary medicine and while regulation is voluntary I belong to the International Wheel of Colour which is a regulatory body that offers a remedy to a dissatisfied client. I am also insured and offer a money back guarantee, provided you tell me within a reasonable period of time. My Colour Therapy Diploma can be verified at the Iris School of Colour Therapy and see the page on ethics for more details.

The International Wheel of Colour (IWOC)
Is an independent non-profit association incorporating The Colour Therapy Council (CTC) that aims to provide an international register of people working with colour as a healing medium. IWOC practises voluntary regulation with the aim of establishing, upholding and advancing the standards and competence and conduct of those who practise Colour and Light Therapy and providing real guidance and support to Colour practitioners. Our members are required to sign a pledge to uphold the highest of ethical and professional standards and our Membership Certificate aims to help practitioners convey confidence and trust to anyone who is seeking their help.

Furthermore, the International Wheel of colour has a mission to create a global colour network furthering the use of colour therapy by bringing colour into the public eye. We will be widely advertised in magazines and our website will be linked to many other organisations and health directories. Join us now to create a powerful surge of colour energy and get the professional recognition you deserve.

The Colour Therapy Council is totally equalitarian and made up annually of a group of practitioner IWOC members chosen using colour psychology principles of colour personality archetypes. Its aim is to maintain professional standards by encouraging schools and manufacturers to submit their products and courses for IWOC approval status in return for the use of our distinctive IWOC approved logo.

The Wheel of Colour is the only organisation that uses the principles of Colour Therapy on our website and administration, the only one that helps to promote your career with comprehensive listings, direct links to your website, free downloads, and message board facilities and much more.To visit the IWOS click here

What a Colour Therapist Can and Cannot Do!
The difference between complementary and alternative medicine is that complementary does just that it ‘complements’ whereas ‘alternative’ replaces formal medical treatment. Therefore as with all complementary medical practitioners a colour therapist is not qualified to diagnose or cure any illness or disease, that is why if you are feeling unwell you should always consult your doctor. We can however directly treat some ailments but cannot claim to cure them.

Colour therapy is considered to be particularly beneficial as a complementary medicine with regard to stress or stress related psychosomatic symptoms, or where a positive frame of mind is essential to help you get better quicker. However, as with many types of complimentary medicine there is no scientific proof of colour therapy showing any medical benefit, ultimately that is for you to decide. Therefore all references to diagnosis or treatment etc are in relation to the spiritual and not the physical body. In that respect we can help you obtain a feeling of spiritual well being that in turn will help you feel good and look good enabling you to cope with life and situations much better than you could before.
